Inversion Therapy for Fresh and Healthy Brain

Hi, there!

We will explore with you, how we can make our brain always be fresh and healthy using inversion therapy.

Before that, let’s see how our brain works, so we would be able easily to analyze it throughout our busy days.

How our brain works

Your brain that continues with the spinal cord is the central organ of your nervous system. It has billions of nerve cells and coordinates your sensations, thoughts, emotions, movements and behavior. [1][2][3]

[4]

Our brain works like a massive computer. It generates the data received from the body, processes it and sends this information back to the body.

However, what differs our brain from the computer is that it stores emotions and feelings. [3]

Anatomically, the brain consist:

  • the Cerebrum
  • the Diencephalon
  • the Brainstem
  • the Cerebellum

External parts of the brain could be seen below:

[5]

This is good to know how our brain work so we can control it before it’s started controlling us.

Yet, I am neither a medical expert with 20 or more years practice nor an experienced neurologist. Therefore, I am including here some scientific videos, for your better understanding of the brain functioning.

  • With the first video you will figure out how your brain works: “Divisions of the brain”;[6]
  • The second video shows you how the blood supplies to your brain: “Blood supply of the brain”;[7]
  • On the third video you will develop an understanding of the lymphatic system on your neck and head: “Cervical Lymph Node Levels in 5 minutes”;[8]

Our own brain is the most complex system in our body and will function perfectly well if we take a good care of it.

How can our brain be stimulated being fresh and healthy

Don’ts

  1. Consume heavy food and junk food;
  2. The daily and large measure of alcohol;
  3. Smoking;

  9. Use inversion therapy – refreshing and preventing our brain from degeneration;

Following that, If we want to live better life, we ought to increase the responsibilities toward ourselves and to others, as well.

This, therefore, will bring us the values that everyone needs – peace, prosperity and happiness.

How the inversion therapy helps us to have fresh and healthy brains?

First of all let’s see what is inversion therapy?

This therapy isn’t a new concept in the medicine field. In fact, the father of medicine (Hippocrates), observed that what is now known as inversion therapy as early as 400 BC.

As the name suggests, Inversion therapy is the type of therapy whereby the individual is bottom up for several minutes. The aim is to relieve back pain, refresh their brain and remove other health conditions.

Since your body is suspended upside-down blood circulation is increasing and freely reaching the upper organs, and therefore increased oxygen and nutrients supply to these organs – in our case to the brain.

At the same time the function of the lymphatic system of the whole body, and here for those lymph nodes and channels around your neck and back of your head, reinvigorated.

Tools to use:

  • Aerial yoga;
  • Hanging from the bars;
  • Gravity boots;
  • Inversion chairs;
  • Inversion tables;

I will give you some guidance for the inversion table. This is because I use one.

Moreover, this could be used by anyone, regardless of their age, mobility and fitness.

Furthermore, the inversion table could be put anywhere. Additionally, some models could be brought everywhere you go.

Sequences of exercises on inversion table for fresh and healthy brain:

1. Swinging down and up:

  • While we are up our hands are next to our body.
  • At the moment we start swinging down, our hands gradually open, forming circle trajectory until they got above our head and we are completely inverted.
  • The breathe pattern is as follows: when the head is down (we are upside down) – Inhale; when the head is up (we are up) – Exhale.
  • Start with 10 repetitions and gradually increase them to the number you feel comfortable.

Results:

  • This practice allows the free circulation of blood throughout the body and refreshing our brain.

2. Stay upside down:

  • Reaming inverted on 20,30,40,60 or 90 degrees, the blood flows to the brain.
  • When we begin to the use of inversion table, we can star with being on 20 degrees for one to three minutes.
  • After getting accustomed, you can stay for longer time, from five to ten minutes, and on higher degrees – 40, 60 or 90.

I would recommend doing this in the morning before breakfast, and in the evening before the dinner, on empty stomach.

Results:

  • Do it in the morning – for refreshment of our brain.
  • In the evening, to bring the blood that has been stored on our feet, back to our brain.

Having a regular practice guarantees the proper blood flow to your brain cells. Thus, this regenerates them so that the thinking power increases and the thoughts become clearer.[10]

Sample evidences:

The living proof of the positive outcome of using this therapy is a person on the age of 80 who felt as if he had sort of dementia. After he starts using this therapy, he regains his mental functioning and shared that is mentally alert as he was 40 years ago.[11]

Another confirmation is from the names of notable writers such Dan Brown, who says that he practices inversion to make his mind work and ignite creativity. In addition, celebrities like Tony Robbins, Ozzy Osbourne and many more.

Benefits:

  1. Improves the blood supply to the brain, by opening the certain areas there where the blood was cut off;
  2. The muscles of the jaws and neck relax, the lymphatic channels got released and the lymph fluid flows smoothly. This is of paramount importance for the functioning of the glands;
  3. Relieves depression by increasing blood flow and cerebrospinal fluid by oxygenating more brain cells;[12]
  4. Bettering the overall condition of people with MS;[13][14]
  5. Preventing from development of Dementia and Alzheimer’s;
  6. Healing the allergies;
  7. The sinuses got cleared;
  8. According to Dr. Robert Martin, the author of The Gravity of Guiding System: Turning the Aging Process Upside Down, when your body is inverted or in an inclined plane, the efficiency of your brain increases by 14%;[15]

Disclaimer:

All information provided here is not intended to replace professional medical care. That’s why always follow the instructions of your healthcare professional in prior starting the inversion therapy.

Notes

  1. Before starting consult your personal doctor, neurologist and physical therapist;
  2. Individual with Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease, and other neurological issues should practice under the guidance of a qualified therapist who specializes in working with people with such problems;[16]
  3. The people with vertigo or high blood-pressure must first consult with their medical practitioner;
  4. Women, who are in their pregnancy, is recommended to avoid inverting;
  5. Do not proceed inversion after injuries;

Final Thoughts

We must be guardians to our brains and choosing the right sources to do that.

The inversion therapy, I believe, is probably the safest – in terms of injuries, effective – as proven by its historical use and the most inexpensive of all means for fresh and healthy brain.

What’s more, if you use the inversion therapy, whether as a primary or additional device, you will enjoy one healthy and happy life.
